There's Frost on the Moon
Sunday, December 15th @ 2:30PM
Jeudi, the “Vintage-Voiced Chanteuse” and creator of the wildly popular Jazz-Age juke box musical “Love Outshines the Moon” is bringing the team of Michael Marlen-Starr, Paul Hemstreet and Charlie Harrison back together to share some holiday cheer at the Jeweled Universe with her special Christmas cabaret on Sunday December 15 at 2:30 PM.
“There’s Frost on the Moon” is a merry musical matinee featuring swinging and sentimental songs from Jeudi’s celebrated album “Winter Was Warm” along with other other delightful surprises. If you’re wistful for the gracious and glamorous merriment of a genteel era, they’ve got you covered with this tuneful tonic for troubling times highlighting Tin Pan Alley’s best least known material. Advanced tickets essential. As always, vintage or festive attire is encouraged.
“Love Outshines the Moon” premiered and was developed over a generous 14-month sold-out residency at the Jeweled Universe. To learn more about it’s future, buy merch and become a patron, visit jeudi.biz/about-the-play and join the mailing list.
Quotes
“There’s a smile in the lady’s voice and her contented perspective seems to be inuenced by the wearing of rose-colored glasses.”
Rob Lester, Talkin’ Broadway
“Jeudi likes to dig deep for vocal gems of the ‘30s to ‘50s. She can inhabit several decades. Jeudi is not your typical singer of standards or the American Songbook, she is a vintage singer.”
Joe Bebco, Syncopated Times
“The best Christmas songs you’ve never heard!”
Mark Winkler, Platinum Award-winning Jazz Singer/Lyricist
“Jeudi is heart-warming performer who will cast you in her spell. Her soothing lyrical voice has wit and charm. With her beaming smile, Jeudi brings joy to her audience.”
Peisha McPhee, Vocal Coach, American Idol
